We have two exciting events presented by the East Coast Miniature Horse Club this fall.
The first will be the annual East Coast Miniature Horse Club Spooktacular Fun Show
Those of you that have attended this event know just how much fun we have. This show
Is open to all minis under 38 inches tall. Your mini does not have to be registered.
The class list will be on the web site very soon for your viewing pleasure.
There will be classes for everyone !!! There will be a $20 one horse one handler fee.
This will cover all the classes that the handler and horse wants to show in.
.This is a show
That the club gives back to our members and friends by keeping our fees low.
Our show committee is working hard to get prizes together for the show.
Since the club is paying for most of the expenses of the show ,
Anyone wanting to donate prizes or give money toward them or if you have any questions please contact one of our
Show Co chairs Darlene Bridges at blazen2@msn.com or Trish Coffman at ValorCrossMinis@aol.com
Your name or farm name will be announced at the show for your generosity.
The show will be
Be held at Colfax on Sat.Oct 31st , Halloween Day
On November the 14th we have another exciting event.
This is an event to promote the miniature horse industry in this area.
This event is still in the planning stages but hopefully with your help and input we will
Have a wonderful turn out and a great time.
Connie Brown has graciously offered us her beautiful place for this event.
Here is kind of the basic plan .
We want to spend a day where our club members offer their knowledge to
Others interested in Minis, or just getting started.
We are blessed to have members who are knowledgeable in , showing
Clipping , breeding , feeding, driving, halter. CDE, jumping etc.
Again this is only in the planning stages but I would love to hear from our members
Stating if they would like to participate in doing a demonstration for our soon to
Be buyers and competitors. We want to do this to educate new owners and let them and others
Know what these little guys can do. We often have visitors that are interested in minis that
Ask questions like what do they eat?How many can you have on an acre?
What can you do with them beside pet them?
Even if you don’t do a demo we would love to have all of our club members come and meet our guests
Bring your chairs and sit back conversate and enjoy. This would be kind of like an end of the year picinic.
These are going to be our competition and our horse buyers of the future so it would help the industry
All the way around to get and keep them interested in the breed. Each farm could set up their own table showcaseing
Their favorite horses , what they do with them, and maybe pics of some for sale. Bring your Business cards.
Who knows you might just sale a horse or two.
We would love to see our youth participate by showing the jumpers , obstacle some aspect of driving.
Since there is so much to show and do we may have to have stations and just have something going on all
The time or several at one time. Kind of like a Minature Horse Fair.
Maybe having a vendor
Possibly a tack exchange ( sell your used tack)
We also need your help in getting in touch with anyone you think would enjoy this gathering.
Please send me names and e-mails or Phone numbers of neighbors and /or friends you may have , or maybe just
Someone that stops by to see the little horses, LOL We would love to send them an invitation and a flyer announcing the
Event.Help us spread the word so we can have a huge turnout.
Those of you that are not members yet please let us know if you would be interested in joining us for our Mini Day .
Please send any ideas or comments regarding this event to me, Mary Frazier at blueblazes@windstream.net
Connie Brown at conja1980@yahoo.com , greencreekminis@yahoo.com
If you would like to be on this committee to help get this off the ground please contact the e-mails above. We can always use help.
Can’t wait to hear your feed back.
