January 2010 Meeting Minutes
Jim Frazier brought the meeting to order and gave the Invocation
Darlene Bridges read the minutes from the November/December meeting. Jean Haines made a motion to accept as read, Trudy Mershon 2nd, motion passed.
Dan Mershon gave the Treasurer’s Report. The Club account balance is $14,427.75. That is a decrease of $649.16. Major expenses are $1000 deposit to the Williamston Facility for Spring Fling show and $1200 for the Club Farm Ad in the MHW magazine. Jean Haines made a motion to accept as given and Susan Whitehead 2nd, motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
Mary Frazier said that 63 of the former 86 members from last year have paid their 2011 membership. The club membership role runs steadily around 80. We discussed the need for ideas to encourage folks to renew their memberships!
Spring Fling
Stall fees were discussed in light of the fact that the Williamston facility raised the amount the club has to pay for stalls. Jeff Brown made a motion to raise the stall fees from $45 to $50 each. Jean Haines 2nd, motion passed.
The shavings will remain the same as last year $6.50 a bag. Camper spots will also remain $25 a night. Vendor spots will be $300 for the entire time.
Cherie Paspas and Judith Powell will be taking care of the arrangements for our 2 Exhibitor’s Pizza parties.
Laura Bodenheimer made a motion to drop the breakfasts and instead ad a Hospitality area with water, power bars etc. available. Mary Frazier 2nd,motion passed.
Aubrey Overcash has agreed to be in charge of taking care of our class sponsorships. Single class sponsorships are only $10! If you sponsor 5 you get a 6th free! Grand & Reserve classes are $50 and Champion of Champions and Supreme classes are $100. Contact Aubrey at ajovercash@hotmail.com . You can pay via PayPal on the Pay Now tab on the front page of the ecmhc.com website. Be sure to put what it is for along with your payment as well as notifying Aubrey.

Raffle Tickets are available for the Double K Clippers. They are $5 each or 3 for $10. Contact Laura Bodenheimer at goldenbfarms@yahoo.com if you’d like some tickets. The drawing will take place at the Spring Fling Show.
Please be getting together your Silent Auction items for the Spring Fling! This is a great way to support the show.
AS of this meeting there were not enough confirmations to have a the 18 Month calendar as planned. Jean Haines made a motion to give folks until Monday morning to get them in or reduce the calendar to a 12 month calendar. Judith Powell 2nd, motion passed.
The Club Farm Ads have been submitted to the Journal & MHW magazines. We’d like to thank Heather Troglauer for her diligence in getting this done for us. Please submit your payment if you have not already done so.
Lynn Ezell has agreed to take a look at the current Club Year End High Point Program to see if it can be simplified. She will get back with us about it by the next meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
Jim Frazier is working on getting a clinic together for the club sometime in March. He is looking at facilities as well as speaking with clinicians; Updates to follow soon…
The ECMHC Youth Club is working on a T-Shirt contest. Youth Club sponsors will be notifying all on their Youth contact list what the Rules are.
