This is in reference to the NC State Fair Show Darlene, Here’s the section from the premium book and entry form for the NC State Fair miniature shows – AMHA and AMHR if you could make it available to your membership, link to your website please. The printed versions to go out in the mail are not getting out as early as they should be. Thanks. MINIATURE HORSE DIVISION (Shows sanctioned separately with AMHR and AMHA - NOT USEF RECOGNIZED) October 20, 2010 – Raleigh, NC Measuring of horses to begin at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday Showing to begin at 9:00 a.m. Judge: Rickey Evans, Caldwell, GA (AMHR & AMHA carded) AMHR Steward – Robby McCartha – Chappin, SC The NC State Fair Miniature Horse Show will consist of an AMHR performance show, followed by a separate show for AMHA registered horses. Respective Registry/Association rules will be followed accordingly, and all entries must conform to respective registration, entry and competition guidelines. In an effort to speed up check-in time, we ask that you mail copies of your respective (AMHR and/or AMHA) registration papers (front & back) and copies of respective AMHR and/or AMHA membership cards along with your entries. This information can then be verified ahead of time instead of while you wait for your packet. Current height must be verified for all entries. AMHR Performance Show requirements: All horses must be registered with the American Miniature Horse Registry – no papers on show day, no show! The “A” or “Under” division miniature horse shall be an AMHR registered miniature horse over three years of age who is 34 inches and under, etc.. The “B” or “Over” division miniature horse shall be an AMHR registered miniature horse over three years of age who is over 34 inches but not over 38 inches, etc. No horse, regardless of parentage, who measures over 38 inches shall be allowed to become an AMHR registered miniature horse. Pleasure horses cannot cross-enter into Country Pleasure at the same show. Country Pleasure horses cannot cross-enter into Pleasure Divisions at the same show. Pleasure and Country Pleasure horses can enter the Roadster Division at the same show. Youth exhibitors 13 yrs and older may show or drive a stallion in open classes. All driving horses must be 3 years and older. AMHA show requirements: All horses must be registered with the American Miniature Horse Association. Amateurs & Youth must provide their current AMHA Amateur or Youth numbers, applications for both will be available in the show office. AMHA requires amateurs to sign a statement to certify that they are an Amateur as recognized by the rules of AMHA. Additionally, AMHA requires a copy of the “Senior Stallion Verification Report” where applicable, and gelding status must be reflected on the AMHA horse registration certification. Junior horses shall be 2 years of age and under, and Senior horses 3 years of age and older. No AMHA miniature horse 3 years of age or older shall exceed 34 inches; etc. Horses must be measured at every show entered. AMHA recognizes two height divisions for Senior horses: 32 inches and under (32” and under); and over 32 inches and up to and including 34 inches (over 32” - 34”). A horse may show in either Country Pleasure Driving or Single Pleasure Driving – no cross entries between the two are allowed at any one show. All driving horses, hunters and jumpers must be three years old or older. Youth exhibitors must be 13 yrs old or older to show or drive a stallion. PLEASE NOTE LATE ENTRY PENALTY RULES in front of Prize List. STALL FEE is $35.00 for the Miniature Division. TENT STALLS are available for $25.00. See chart in inside front cover for arrival and departure schedule. All entries wishing to be stabled together should mail their entries in the same envelope. In regard to measuring some other time besides Wed. Morning... Measuring for all horses will be at 7:30 a.m. We will likely announce a time the evening before once the steward is comfortably in place and we see that we have horses present.
