We discussed at length issues concerning the Spring Fling show. Members expressed their preferences in classes as well as order of classes. All your suggestions have been noted and will be addressed. All of us on the show committee as well as those in elected positions will try as hard as we can to make this show what we as members want while continuing to bring a great show to the East Coast. We do not take for granted the participation of ECMHC members as well as many other miniature horse enthusiasts.
The deadline for artwork for the Spring Fling program is February 15. Get yours to Ferin at shortandsassystables@yahoo.com. Our BIGGEST SAVINGS is in getting everything in on time to the publisher.
We are planning a Performance Only show June 19 &20. It will tentatively be at the Triad Livestock Arena in Trinity NC. It will be a 1- day AMHR Show and a 1-day AMHA show with a Full slate of all performance classes. There will be 2 Judges. Judith Warner and Vanessa Mullen. You will be allowed to show out of your trailer but 80 stalls are available. We will offer a “Flat Fee” per horse that includes a stall on a first come first served basis. We are still calculating that fee.
The club will sponsor a MINI Fair at Jeff and Connie Brown’s. It will be May 15th. Contact Mary Frazier at blueblazes@windstream.net if you would like to contribute your talents or have questions. We are in desperate need of your help!!!
At our East coast Miniature Horse Club meeting we learned that our beautiful full color program that we have each year at our Spring Fling may not get published this year.
Those of you that have seen the program know what great quality it is. Not only are the programs handed out at the Spring Fling but they are also handed out at all events the club has and attends all over the country. This includes Nationals and World . We use this program to advertise our Club , the Miniature Horse and our supporters. If you place an ad in this program it’s seen all over the country throughout the year. You do not have to be a club member to place an ad.
We only have a few people that have committed to putting in an ad this year. We need many more to be able to print the program. We don't make a profit on the program, our aim is only to break even in order to produce a quality program . If you would like to see a copy of last year’s program to see the quality we will be glad to mail you one.
The Artwork needs to be sent to Ferin Mershon no later than Feb. 15th. That is the absolute Last day to get it to her in order to have it printed on time for the show. She can also help you with lay out. That is also the very last day to send in the money for the ad.
You have the option of using a credit card under the Pay Now prompt on the ECMHC home page www.ecmchc.com to make this option easier. If you choose to send a check please make payable to ECMHC and mail to
