Old Business
Show Committee Report
The Spring Fling was a success. We cleared $333.61 this year. That is down considerably considering we cleared $6423.68 last year. Factors contributing to this were; $527.95 less in sponsorships, $433 less in Silent Auction earnings, and the entry info located below.
For the AMHA Show:
2012 - we had 120 horses & 391 entries
2013 - we had 93 horses & 356 entries
So we were down 27 horses and 35 entries
For the AMHR Show:
2012 - we had 184 horses & 751 entries
2013 - we had 144 horses & 660 entries
So we were down 40 horses and 91 entries
It is apparent that the cold winter kept several usual exhibitors away. We cannot control that. We hope to do better with fund raising and sponsorships in the future.
Next year’s Spring Fling dates are: Week #15 Thursday thru Sunday April 17-20 2014
New Business
Show Committee Report
Summer Classic is June 14-16 AMHR, ASPC & AMHA
There was an error on the AMHA entry form. The correct information is on the Premium however.

Amateur/Novice Classes: $25.00

As this show is still in the growing stage we are not planning to pay to have center ring decorated like in April. That costs us $275
The tentative dates for the 2014 Summer Classic is Week #24 June 12-14.
Next year will come up on us quickly with this show. The application for the AREA III AMHR show will have to be in by September “this” year. What we will need to do depending on how the turnout is at the upcoming show, is to have a plan for a regular show if we aren’t awarded the Area Show, and have a plan for a 4 day show that includes the Area Show. Laura Mullen is going to put the application in with AMHR for us if we for sure decide to apply for it. Note that the only way this will be feasible for us is if we have a successful Summer Classic show this year.
As a club , we need to be good stewards of our funds and time donated by our members.
We desperately need a Sponsorship Committee … and a Chair. Anyone interested please contact any of the club officers. Laura Bodenheimer, laura@goldenbfarms.com Dan Mershon, dmersh01@yahoo.com Darlene Bridges, blazen2@msn.com, Bobby Bridges, bobbybridges55@hotmail.com
Our next meeting will be announced asap.
