Old Business
The Summer Classic lost $625 due to refunds. It would have been at least a break even if that had not happened. As this was the first time we added halter classes to the show, & no longer had just a Performance show, we felt like it was indeed a success. Thank you to all who volunteered to make it a success!
Bobby Bridges explained the $500 to AMHR and AMHA youth that the club gives yearly. It has been sent out to each association already for the 2012 Nationals & World
New Business
Show Committee Report: The Raleigh facility could not give us a date for 2013 that would work for us to have our June Summer show. As a result we were able to secure a confirmed date for the Williamston Facility, June 14,15,16, 2013 for the show. We have left open the possibility of going back to Raleigh if it works out in subsequent years. We will have some extra expense but we will be able to make more on stalls, shavings & camper spots. We need to work on sponsorships. Keep up the good work with the silent auctions! We can make it work.
Scott Thacker would like to propose some type of Youth College Fund. The An actual motion concerning this concept will be forthcoming.
Dates and location for 2013
Spring Fling Will be in Williamston, NC on April 18-21, 2013.
Summer classic Will also be in Williamston on June 14,15,&16,2013
Sponsorship program: We need a volunteer to revamp the program. Liz Holmes , a new member has graciously agreed to head that endeavor up for us. Many thanks to her!
Much discussion occurred on doing a calendar and/or program? Sheryl Owen made a motion to do a calendar & Liz Holmes seconded. Motion passed. Liz Holmes will be in charge of it with Ferin Mershon receiving and formatting the artwork and Dan Mershon receiving the funds. The exact amount that will be needed to secure a spot will be released as soon as the particulars of the printer are known. Email Ferin at diversityfarmnc@yahoo.com with your artwork.

Matt Drown, newly moved to NC from New Hampshire suggested a way to consolidate the 2 separate kinds of jumping classes we have had in the past at the show. There would be 2 height rounds followed by a 3rd timed round. Darlene Bridges formed it into a motion; Bobby Bridges 2nd & motion passed. We also encourage all to pre-enter the show to get a price break. You do not have to pre pay, but please pre enter. That will make the show run much smoother. The method to pre-enter will be disclosed soon.
